The PA Department of Environmental Protection has just released the Marcellus production data from July to December 2013, and it continues to highlight Cabot’s record-setting production.

Since this is a Cabot blog, let’s start with the excellent information about the company.
In terms of production per day for the entire state of Pennsylvania, Cabot has:

  • The Top 13 producing wells
  • 17 of the Top 20 producing wells
  • 34 of the Top 50 producing wells

It’s also clear that Northeast Pennsylvania is dominating in terms of top-producing wells. For production per day for the entire state, the northeastern area had 46 of the top producing wells.
Here’s the breakdown of the Top 50 producing wells in daily production by county:

  • Susquehanna County – 37
  • Wyoming County – 3
  • Bradford County – 3
  • Lycoming County – 3
  • Washington County – 3
  • Greene County – 1
