Water is an important component in the creation of any form of energy, and our experts have implemented these specific water management systems to meet our operational needs all while minimizing our impact.
In the video below Rob Gorczyk, a water engineer with Cabot, and Howard Jennings, a Professor with Keystone College, detail some of the unique systems used in the process, including a hidden water withdrawal system designed to be as low-impact as possible.
Efforts to minimize impact to the environment and wildlife have been successful. State Impact recently reported the water withdrawals related to the Marcellus Shale industry have not negatively affected or strained the Susquehanna County River Basin system.
