We know your summers are busy with activities, vacations and long days in the sun. Here are some upcoming events from summer to early fall that we will be participating in – 
 
Cabot Community Picnic – Saturday, July 20
Hopefully you know all about this fun-filled day of industry education, activities and great prizes. Gates open at noon and the Picnic continues until 4 pm at the Harford Fairgrounds in Susquehanna County. In addition to being able to speak one-on-one with experts from around the industry and volunteers from great community organizations, we will be raffling off FOUR great prizes every hour with the help of Froggy 101. Admission is free; event is open to the public.
Montrose Blueberry Festival – Friday & Saturday, August 2 & 3
The 34th Annual Blueberry Festival will be held Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm both days with the pancake breakfast starting at 8 am. The event benefits the Susquehanna County Library and celebrates the little blue fruit by using it in as many foods as possible – from muffins to pizza. Admission is free; event is open to the public.
CNG Celebration – Thursday, August 15
Northeastern Pennsylvania has some (if not all) of the most prolific natural gas wells in the Marcellus Shale play. As production increases, so do opportunities for students to take advantage of the upcoming careers associated with this clean-burning, abundant natural resource. From the new businesses using natural gas across the region to opportunities for residential usage, we’ll be gathering with the leaders of the natural gas movement and higher education institutes to discuss the promising future ahead for the region. Dennis Farm Symposium – Thursday, September 12
Building on the success from the event held in Philadelphia at the end of February, a group of scholars, historians and public officials will be taking a walk back in time as they come to the Dennis Farm and learn more about its rich history in person. Susquehanna County has a rich African American history, including the First Presbyterian Church in Montrose which was at one time a stop on the Underground Railroad and the Center for Anti Slavery Studies which is located just next door. By invitation only.
Fall Sporting Clay Tournament – Friday, October 4
Our 2nd Annual Fall Sporting Clay Tournament will benefit St. Joseph’s Center which is based in Scranton. St. Joseph’s does great work around the northeast Pennsylvania community. Keep an eye out for more details in the near future!
