We’re fans of Energy In Depth – Northeast Marcellus Initiative because the group supports Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation by speaking, writing and listening on our behalf at events and meetings across the state and in New York and Ohio. Like many other local oil and gas companies in the area, we partner with Energy In Depth to communicate the benefits of natural gas drilling and to correct misinformation spread about our industry.We follow @eidmarcellus on Twitter because they post timely articles about local and national opinions on the fracing debate. EID travels all over the Commonwealth and into New York to record gatherings of those opposed to hydraulic fracturing, and they often link videos in tweets so that we can see the action as it takes place. @eidmarcellus often serves as the voice of the natural gas industry at these meetings, expos and events that Cabot cannot always be present for.The handle also tweets about screenings for TruthLand, the filmed response to Josh Fox’s “Gasland” that has secured more than 35,000 views on Youtube. They invite their 941 followers to come watch the film and partake in question and answer sessions with the film’s stars.@eidmarcellus takes an assertive approach to debunking natural gas myths and statements from the opposition. They often tweet links to their comprehensive fact sheets and to scientific facts and statements that disprove many claims from anti-industry “experts.” As an added plus, they were at the Cabot Community Picnic sharing information about all they do.
Bill serves as an External Affairs Coordinator for Coterra Energy. He is focused on building community knowledge and support for the organization and industry at large.
Before his time with Coterra Energy, Bill was the original Field Director for Energy in Depth’s Northeast Marcellus campaign. Within this two-year position, Bill worked to engage, educate, and mobilize supporters of Marcellus Shale development across New York and Pennsylvania. Bill received his B.S. in Management, a B.A. in History, and an MBA from Misericordia University.
