As part of our efforts to further engage employees and the community, GasSearch Drilling Services has launched “The Traveling Grill” to show its appreciation to those working in the field. These are the men and women who ensure our operations run safely and efficiently every day. The Traveling Grill has been shared with not only employees of GDS, but also employees of the many vendors who work hand-in-hand on our locations to get the job done. This endeavor has been a way for us to offer a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to the many energy supporters we have across Northeast PA.
The idea of the Traveling Grill is to bring foremen and office employees to the field to enjoy free food as a show of appreciation. The food is either cooked on location using a portable grill or prepared ahead of time and individually packaged, making distribution seamless allowing for minimal operations interruptions.
Like many other companies, we’ve faced the difficulties that have surfaced due to the nationwide employee shortage. And while we continue to focus on bringing in new team members, we believe our strength is, has been, and will continue to be our existing employees. Which is why we aim to regularly demonstrate appreciation, creating a more significant positive experience for our people.
At Coterra, it’s more than just food and drinks with The Traveling Grill, It’s about the employees who come together and ask, “What can we do to help?” It’s about promoting that feeling of unity and closing the gap between the field and the office; it’s about showing appreciation to all employees who chose to build a career with us. The engagement efforts don’t stop at GDS, as The Traveling Grill is also a show of appreciation for all the vendors and their employees, who support the field operations alongside GDS in the Susquehanna County Marcellus Shale region.
Our focus continues to be on growth and expanding our strengths so that we can provide stable support to the natural gas industry. But it’s also about acknowledging both individual and group efforts and applauding them for the fantastic jobs they do every day.
