Make room! GasSearch Drilling Services (GDS) has been named the largest employer in Susquehanna County as of the 2nd quarter in 2020*! GDS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cabot and they have been working tirelessly over the years to expand and grow their operations. This is an outstanding accomplishment and we’re so proud of the GDS team. 

About two years ago, GDS began ramping up their operations by adding over 30 additional water trucks and moving into their new facility in Lenox, PA. This move allowed them to bring on over 100 new employees from neighboring counties between 2018 and 2019. Unfortunately, hiring slowed down when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. However, according to GDS Operations Manager Chad Gorman, things are taking off again. 

“As we progress through this pandemic, we are starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel,” said Chad. “We are now ramping our hiring back up and have a significant amount of opportunities within the trucking and maintenance departments, as well as our field service operations.” Chad expanded further by saying their field operations include Roustabout and Equipment Departments.

GDS was founded in 2006 and supports the natural gas industry in northeast Pennsylvania with a full line of services consisting of Class B CDL drivers hauling various fluids, Class A CDL drivers supporting rig move operations, excavation and pad construction, equipment use and roustabout support.
