Welcome to #AskCabot Thursday, a day in the week where you can tweet or email any questions you have for Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation to us and we’ll answer as best as possible. Today, we’ll recap last week’s #AskCabot question and our answer. If you would like to be featured in next week’s #AskCabot recap, be sure to send us your questions today.

Last week, an #AskCabot question read: “How many employees does Cabot’s subsidiary, GDS, have.”  First, we explained to anyone unaware that GDS stands for GasSearch Drilling Services. Then, we answered with “GDS currently has 107 employees. Learn more by visiting their website.”

GasSearch Drilling Services was founded in 2006 and is a subsidiary of Cabot. Based in Montrose, Pa., GDS “offers a full line of dirt construction, water hauling, trucking and roustabout services in support of the natural gas industry.”

GDS has seen rapid growth in staffing during the past few months and now has a total of 107 team members. To accommodate their growing numbers, GDS “recently completed construction on a new office building located on Highway 29 in south Montrose and a newly renovated shop and maintenance facility located on Highway 706 just west of Montrose.” We created this video to document the commemoration of the opening of the new GDS facilities.[

David Wojahn, President of GDS says in the video that 90 percent of GDS employees come from the local Pennsylvania area. As of this blog post, GDS has two current job openings. If you’re interested in applying for a position with GDS, you can upload your resume on their website.
