On this Veterans Day, we here at Cabot are honored to have the opportunity to work with two wonderful groups that give back to our amazing veterans. Every year we look forward to helping those men and women who serve our country.
The first organization we donated to is Renovating Hope.
Renovating Hope is a small Pennsylvania based not-for-profit organization with the goal of helping active soldiers and veterans who are in the greatest jeopardy. Their mission isto honor American Heroes in need by providing home rebuilding assistance to ensure that they and their families are safe and comfortable.
They provide professional, sustainable home needs and services in an effort to be a source of renewal and hope for veterans and their families. They also help to assist the families of men and women presently serving in the armed forces, as well as veterans, whose deteriorating residences require repairs and/or upgraded appliances necessary to meet the basic human needs. Renovating Hope goes above and beyond to ensure family safety and adequate comfort for all. And most importantly, they help to serve those who have been overwhelmed by financial difficulties from which they have demonstrated attempts to recover.
Renovating Hope has helped more than 262 military families with projects ranging from door lock repair to complete home renovation in order to accommodate the unique needs of disabled warriors. Most repairs were finished with a guarantee that the soldiers’ names would never be disclosed so that pride and dignity could be maintained.
The second project we joined forces with is Family & Friends Honoring Veterans. Each year the small West Virginia group honors veterans with a free dinner and show for them and their families to enjoy. In the past, a small gift was also presented to each veteran to show them gratitude for everything they have done for our country. This year, Cabot is the proud meal sponsor for this wonderful event.
Every year this occasion get’s bigger and bigger, with featured guests and excitement for the whole family. West Virginians of all ages even travel from around the state just to help volunteer. The event is expected to be the biggest one yet, and Cabot couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it.
Today is a day that has been set aside for us to give back to the veterans for all they have done for the United States of America. Thank you to all the men and women who have served!
