Our last Video Tuesday post about the Cabot Community Match Fund for the Endless Mountains Health Systems Physicians Clinic outlined an important milestone in the community campaign. Last month, we blogged about a May 23, 2012 news conference that announced an 80 percent rate of funding for the new clinic in Montrose, Pa.
Today, we have an even more exciting announcement to blog about – Cabot has not only reached, but actually exceeded our original goal of $1 million dollars in match funds. In the past month alone, we’re seen a number of our contractors and employees as well as landowners and community individuals step up to close the gap from 80 to 100 percent. As of Saturday morning at the Cabot Community Picnic, George Stark, Cabot’s Director of External Affairs, announced that the community raised an additional $250,000 for the construction of the clinic.
Though Cabot only originally offered to match up to $1 million of what the community could raise, our CEO Dan O. Dinges didn’t want to leave the extra $250,000 without a match. At a dinner with community leaders on Friday evening, Mr. Dinges announced that Cabot would indeed match the $1.25 million, for a total of $3.5 million toward the construction efforts.
Cabot would like to thank all those who donated to the Cabot Community Match Fund for the installment of a new Physicians Clinic to accompany the Endless Mountains’ new Hospital. We’re amazed at the community support that we’ve received and feel truly grateful to be able to assist in such a clear and important need. The many groups, companies, families and individuals who donated serve as a true reminder of community strength and unity.

If you would like to send a gift to the Endless Mountains Health Systems to help build these vital facilities, consider mailing a Pledge card to Building Capital Fund Drive, 25 Grow Avenue, Montrose, PA 18801. In the words of Chris Caterson, Campaign Chairperson, “This campaign is about building what might be the most important resource in our community. It’s not an elaborate plan. It is a basic one…one that meets the needs of the community. You and only you can make it happen!”
