The holiday season is in full swing, and one of the many Christmas songs you might hear as you flip through radio stations is the classic “12 Days of Christmas.” It’s a fun, upbeat song about your true love giving you various (and random, 12 maidens milking?) gifts for the holidays. So we decided to put some flare on this classic and present the 12 Days of NatGas.

Many more than you might think. Besides the obvious benefits of natural gas – home heating, cooking on gas stoves or natural gas vehicles – exploration for this resource can also provide the building blocks of many objects you use daily. If you haven’t seen it, head over to this great video to see the MANY things in your neighborhood that come from natural gas.

The 12 Days of NatGas will start on Saturday, December 14 and end on Christmas Day. Each day we will post a new gift as presented by one of our talented Cabot employee on a video on Twitter. You can follow along there or even submit your own. Once the 12 Days of NatGas are completed, we will compile a master video and post it here on Well Said for your viewing pleasure.

I’m glad you asked! We’d like all of you to have fun with this theme along with us – so you can comment here on the blog your suggestions for items or Tweet them along with us during the 12 days!
Every time you post a different item, you’ll get one entry into the Cabot Swag Drawing featuring great hats, shirts and other prizes.Important: The 12 Days of NatGas gifts aren’t things that the industry uses – they’re things that are made or powered by natural gas. Again, if you need an example check out the video hosted on the MSC’s website.

Put your thinking caps on and get excited about Saturday. And just to get the creative thoughts flowing, here’s my personal favorite version of the 12 Days of Christmas: John Denver and the Muppets
