Drilling Down: Picnic Updates

In the video, you saw crowds enjoying free food prepared by Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation and our vendors, community children playing games and thousands of people interacting with Cabot employees, non-profit organizations and countless industry vendors and contractors.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]As we’ve said before, the goal of the Picnic is to educate the Susquehanna community, as well as people who travel from surrounding states to attend the event, about everything involved in drilling a well – from start to finish.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]This year, we’ll have representatives from every step of that journey present, including our geologists, our land experts, our engineers and contractors and vendors who drill, frac and take the natural gas to market. Each section of the picnic – from Cabot booths to industry exhibitors – will showcase equipment or demonstrate techniques that we use daily to produce clean-burning, domestic natural gas. Upon entering the Picnic this year, each person will receive a “Passport to Fun,” which serves as both a map of the fairgrounds and as an interactive activity for all in attendance. We have always encouraged our Picnic guests to ask questions and interact at each booth they visit, but this year we’re offering incentives for those who come to learn.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image css_animation=”” image=”1044″ border_color=”” img_link_large=”” link=”http://cabotsusq.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/capture4.png” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Upon visiting each booth, visitors can show their Passports and receive a stamp for the booth they visited. If visitors collect stamps from all eight Cabot booths and any three community partner booths and three industry partner booths, they are welcomed to fill out the Passport Entry Form located at the bottom of the Passport. Once completed, visitors should detach the Entry Form and drop it off at the Arena Stage.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Once each hour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a winner will be selected from the drop box to win prizes such as gift baskets, an iPad or a large flat-screen television. Within this two-year position, Bill worked to engage, educate, and mobilize supporters of Marcellus Shale development across New York and Pennsylvania. Bill received his B.S. in Management, a B.A. in History, and an MBA from Misericordia University.
