So okay, 345 Bcf sounds like a lot but what could you do with that much natural gas?

Well for starters, you could take a massive road trip.The 345 Bcf that Cabot has produced is enough to power 30.5 MILLION vehicles running on natural gas (CNG) for a trip from Boston to San Francisco. We hear the weather’s lovely there this time of year.That would be enough vehicles for every resident of Pennsylvania (12,742,886), West Virginia (1,855,364), Ohio (11,544,951) and New York (8,244,910) to travel to San Francisco and still have enough room to bring some fresh-baked sourdough bread back with you.But the trip would do more than get you next to the Golden Gate Bridge – the drivers of those vehicles would save a collective $4.2 BILLION in filling up their vehicles during the trip compared to driving cars running on gasoline. And those natural gas vehicles would produce 23 tons of CO2 emissions LESS than traditional gasoline-powered vehicles.Can’t think of 30.5 million best friends you’d like to travel with?
