The External Affairs team journeyed down to Houston, Texas this past weekend to participate in Energy Day, which you may remember us highlighting as a #FF last Friday.
Energy Day is a one-of-a-kind event that was organized by the Consumer Energy Alliance (CEA) with the hopes of bringing energy education to the city. CEA also partnered with the University of Houston to bring great exhibits and hands-on learning to kids – and let’s be honest, some adults – of all ages.
The CEA regularly acts as “the voice of the energy consumer” and therefore represents all forms of energy from oil and gas to solar to wind to nuclear to coal in an all-of-the-above energy policy. The Energy Day festival was a great way to expose children to the various forms of energy production there are in the United States (and the world) and to allow them to see how they work together.
We all had a great time watching this event come together and hope to be back next year for the 4th Annual Energy Day!
