As you’ve probably noticed from past blog posts, Twitter feeds, media coverage and most of all, our actions, we at Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation care deeply about the communities we live and work in. Yesterday, we posted a video about a scholarship we funded at the Susquehanna County Career and Technology Center. We also mentioned that SCCTC invited us to The Challenge Program Senior Awards Ceremony last week.At the ceremony, we had the privilege to watch four gifted seniors accept Challenge Program, Inc. awards for $250 each. The seniors, studying automotive technology, cosmetology and health care technology will use the award toward their future careers. We have served as a business ambassador to The Challenge Program Inc., a program dedicated to motivating high school students through business partnerships and tangible results, for the past year and feel honored to have provided financially and educationally to both the program and the SCCTC.Our involvement with the Challenge Program, Inc. is just the tip of the iceberg. We only wish that we had enough space on this blog to list the community organizations and programs that we have sponsored or partnered with over the years. One of our better known efforts includes the establishment of the Cabot Community Match Fund for the Endless Mountain Health Systems (EMHS) new hospital project. For this cause, we recently announced that Cabot has reached 70 percent of our $3 million goal toward the project, a project that will ultimately allow for improved healthcare in the Susquehanna region.Cabot is dedicated to improving the quality of life for Susquehanna citizens, as evidenced by the economic benefits provided by our community presence including job opportunities, the construction of vital roads and a revitalization of local businesses. We also devote time and resources to national philanthropic causes such as March of Dimes and Relay for Life. Before his time with Coterra Energy, Bill was the original Field Director for Energy in Depth’s Northeast Marcellus campaign. Within this two-year position, Bill worked to engage, educate, and mobilize supporters of Marcellus Shale development across New York and Pennsylvania. Bill received his B.S. in Management, a B.A. in History, and an MBA from Misericordia University.
