You may have seen commercials from America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) featuring their Think About It campaign over the past year. These commercials tell the stories of businesses across the country and how natural gas has been beneficial to their business.
Last week, ANGA along with the Marcellus Shale Coalition, the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce and UGI Utilities brought the conversation to northeastern Pennsylvania and hosted a Think About Energy event in Scranton.

This was just one of several Think About Energy events that have been taking place across the Commonwealth. The focus is to help local businesses think about ways that they can use the abundant supply of natural gas to benefit their own company – through converting vehicles to natural gas-burning appliances to an overall lower energy bill each month. More than 200 people came out to learn more about the opportunities.
WBRE was there to cover the Scranton event and posted this summary and video to their Generations of Energy section:

Thursday’s topic of discussion at the Four Point Sheraton in Scranton was energy.
This session was an opportunity for business and community leaders to learn the benefits of natural gas.
Some of the topics included the supply outlook for natural gas and information on production.
George Stark, of Cabot Oil and Gas,  spoke about how it’s the perfect time for businesses to make the switch to natural gas.
John Augustine of the Marcellus Shale Coalition says right now the United States is the biggest producer of both Natural Gas and Oil.
He says in result the United States doesn’t have to rely on foreign countries to bring our energy independence.
UGI representatives spoke to the crowd about the progress they have had with customers switching to natural gas, and the benefits of savings.
Thursday’s session also featured a presentation from Pennsylvania Public Utility Commissioner Gladys Brown. She offered insights into the Commonwealth’s advantages in energy supply and pricing.
